En route to the global FOSS4G event, we created a case study of the Dar es Salaam downtown, showcasing much of our technology stack. Uhurulabs provided us with UAV aerial imagery. Our Vadstena reality-capture system was used to create the 3D textured model and we used some our more recent R&D to extract the LOD2 model of a few city blocks.

We used the open-source VTS 3D Geospatial Software Stack to perform fusion of the textured 3D model with a global DEM and a global orthophoto mosaic to facilitate seamless rendering. The street label data based on OSM are drawn from the maptiler cloud.
